I am wondering what fees are being charged for a 40 round match where the shooters set the targets.
At the matches I run it has been $6 for many years- and half of that goes back as prize money. Most people shoot two 40 round matches. I anticipate in the next few years we will be needing to make some improvements to the ranges, and some additional cashflow would help. I also do not want to discourage any one from shooting because of the cost.
What I am thinking of is going to $8 per 40 round match, with junior shooters paying half price. With this amount the prize money will not involve change- which I would rather not deal with.
We also do not charge anything for the first time someone shoots at the range.
How does the above compare to other ranges?
