How does your handi shoot off of a bipod? Does it change impact point with it?

I've been shooting my .223 of a Harris bipod since I have owned it. I can get .5 to .75 groups with it on.

Doesn't change the POI, but does open the group slightly.

If I were shooting competively, I'd use bags ... but I don't ... the gophers, prairie dogs, and coyotes that get whacked with it can't tell the difference.

My 223 Ultra has always shot good using a bipod.

i shoot too much F-class not to shoot off a bipod , but i use both bipod and bags and i see little difference between the two.

Here is a link to a site that I found. Very informative. There a plans to build your own bi-pod. He recommends using a bi-pod from the prone position and has even found a chair that is just the right height. Mine is nearly complete...Just need to add a little stain and the leather to it. I am anxious to try it out. Hope this helps.

hey cookiemani made these shooting sticks 18 months ago out of 3/4 inch round ramin dowel. the spikes can be screwed out and it rest's on the rubber stops when i shoot of very rocky ground they work a treat cost about $7 ozy to make

I've built several sets of Varmint Al's BiFur pods. They work very well for me shooting P dogs. I had a Harris bi pod mounted on my .223 for a while, but didn't like staying prone that long.

Most beach / sand chairs will work - I never did find his Ace hardware special. I picked up a low camp chair at REI, it works great, has a carry sling attached.

Still have all my digits attached. I dabbled around the roping game for awhile, but never rode well enough to be any good. It' the only true "rule of thumb" I know...

well i've got both a folding prone bipod, but a rather crude homemade job. i took two 1/2" dowels and litterally just duct taped around the the pivot area and voila a 'auto' folding bipod that would be held apart by the rifle stock. didn't harm the stock after i had first kinda loosend up the tape and made it more user friendly. the litteral .99 cent bipod, minus gas money to get down to menards.
