Help with Lee mold
« on: January 18, 2006, 09:23:08 AM »
I just recieved my Midway order for what I THOUGHT would be all I needed to cast my first bullets. I opted for Lee molds and Liquid Alox lube. I had planned to use it to lube the molds with but I see in the instructions it says NOT to use it, as it will bake onto the mold surface and prevent proper closure. There is no place around here that I know of to buy any anything like that locally. Is there anything else I can use that can be bought at a hardware or auto parts store? I notice in the directions with the Lee furnace it mentioned using Permatex # 133 to lube the valve linkage parts. I suppose as a last resort I can dig the lube out of some commercially cast bullets I have onhand to lube the mold.
