Good little guns. I have the Thunder .380 and carry it quite a bit. Downside they only come with one magazine and spares are expensive. I would by another.

They are good guns! Good = Reliable! Reliable = Dependable!

Caliber is discretionary. Do not compare a Bersa .380 to a Springfield XD in 40 S&W. Compared to a Makarov, the Bersa does not fall apart or come apart in pieces if it is held the wrong way at the wrong time; it is made for the civilian market and is not mil-spec production, is just as reliable and the caliber differential is insignificant. Compared to a Walther PP, the Bersa is lighter and less expensive, and doesn't give you hammerbite. HTH. Mikey.

I lusted for one for twenty years before I finally fell into a deal for one awhile back. It's hair on the large side for a .380, but it's easy to shoot well, reliable, and sturdy. Takedown and maintenance is a breeze, and practice ammo is relatively cheap. It's the only caliber I own that I don't reload, those little cases are just a shade too small to mess with. But I like the gun a lot.

What we're saying here is........get one!

I picked one up for $199 at Academy Sports and really like it,great gun, fun to shoot and carry..

I've seen their frames crack in a .45, not too pleasing to see. I would recommend getting a kel-tec, still very small (smaller), and well priced, yet haven't seen the problems I've seen with bersa.

My very first gun was a .22lr Bersa back in 1981. Didn't like it. Had about one jam per mag. I've heard that they've improved since then.

I couldn't be happier with my Thunder .380. It shoots well, comfortable to hang on to and fits my big hands well. Small enough to carry every day, but yeah, the mags are a hair expensive.
