I enjoy this site and visit often (dont post much ) , I belive in supporting the sponsors when I find a good site . In the last week I have called EDs contenders 4 times and left 3 messages and have not got any reply . Anybody know whats up?? I am about ready to take my business elswhere.

I talked to him Wednesday and ordered another Contender frame, and talked to him Friday at about 1pm about a 308 Encore, and got two e-mails from him on Thursday...so I know he's around. Send him an e-mail, maybe his answering machine is on the fritz, he's always answered my e-mails by the next business day. He also lists two numbers to call, for different times of day, but I've found him at both numbers at any given time. Try them both.

I have had trouble getting Ed when I used to always try his evening phone number. I have called him 3 times in the last couple of weeks at his daytime number and he always answers the phone and takes care of businness. Will always call during the day from now on.

Don't bother with the e-mail either, I sent out 2 a week ago with no response so I 'll see if Fox Ridge wants my business. Most other folks seem to have good luck with him, but not all-Ron

I thought I'd check out the link for DNRSports, clicked on the banner and up pops an anti-war/bush ad and I can't get to thier link.

If that's the way they feel, they'll never see a cent of my money and I'll do my best to make sure those I know don't by from them either :twisted:

I had to go click on their link in the list to get to their site. If you click on the ad it takes you to that "other place".
I sent them an e-mail asking about what the deal was. I'll let ya know when I hear something. But I agree, if that's the way they feel it's time to go elsewhere.

I tried to see that "other place" by going there using my favorites . It just goes to the normal D&R that i have always seen .

IS THIS ANOTHER CASE OF CENSORSHIP ON THIS SITE

The link that would take you to the other place is gone .

I did buy a barrel from EDs contenders because what I wanted is not availible new , The barrel was resonable in price and arrived in very good condition . It took 7 days from the first message I left Ed before I actually spoke to him ,5 days latter I had the barrel I wanted .
I didnt see it as the best way to run a business , Will I buy my next barrel from him ? only if nobody else has the one I fancy at the time.

I'm sure D&R are not aware their site has been taken over by this message. No way a business would intentionally drop a site where you can buy stuff online to post such a message.

I hear on the TV tonight that there is a concerted effort from some Islamic countries to take over web sites and post just such messages. I think D&R has just been hit. They are targeting government sites as well as private and business sites.

I will contact D&R tomorrow and let them know. Be assured they didn't do this tho.

Well I just must be lucky, 'cause I've bought two Contender Frames from Ed in the last 3 months and got through to him on the first try both times, ordered the frame and had it 4 days after he got my FFL. Ed's even replied to my e-mails asking for information (like serial numbers when major improvements were made on Contenders) in a very timely manner (usually less than a week). Last phone call and two e-mails I sent him were about an encore and he answered the phone on the second try and the e-mail within a couple hours. I think Ed's a great guy to deal with, don't know why you guys are having such a problem getting in touch with him.

Ed can be tough to get ahold of, but he is a great guy to do business with. He has good prices, and merchandise is as advertised.

Small businesses can't often compete with the large companies in regards to having a bank of operators on hand. That, and somethings are worth waiting for.
