Do you like your .243 20" w/sights

I didn't know there was an item in the H&R Catalog that I hadn't seen!!  Somehow I missed the 243 Youth super light with the 20" barrel.  Do they shoot well?  Would it make a good brush gun for deer?  Thanks

Rich, I think if you do a search(if and when the search works!) for superlight 243, you'll see that they can shoot real well, but most shooters have trouble getting them to do that, even more so than the standard contour barrels. Perklo's experience in the FAQ is one good example and typical of what has been reported here.

I bought one of these three years ago and put a survivor butt stock on it.I have been very pleased with the accuracy and the lightness and size.
The reason I put on the survivor butt stock was to enable me to hold it tighter to my shoulder and I think that has made a big difference.
The more I listen,the more I hear....and vice versa.

My 1st one had lockup problems, sent in for repair they replace barrel and its shoots pretty good 1.5 to 2'' groups at 100yds with most loads.

I'm a "light" rifle fan,the lighter the better...so when I spotted the 243 "superlight" I knew I just HAD to own one.......MINE shoots poorly,BUT your mileage may vary   :D

I've gotta say that it is the best handling rifle I have,IF it would group   :(
Good shot placement + well constructed bullet = DEAD

I bought one for my son, I'm 6-2 and I can't shoot it worth beans.  My wife is 5-0 and she can shoot a 3 shot group at 50 Yards ( distance I was limiting my son to) that you coud cover with a dime (easily). This was using Federal cheap stuf too.  If I come across the target I'll try to post it
