First AR-15..Which type of ammo should i start with?
« on: January 21, 2006, 08:15:53 AM »
I bought my first AR-15(Bushmaster M4 w/Izzy) and was curious on which type of ammo and bullet grain i should start using, it would be for target and zeroing in my sights. Any suggestions will greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

I use Lake City SS109 62 gr. mil. spec ammo in my RRA. I usually buy 500 rds. at a time!

thanks N.Y. Hunter, it looks like a good bargain for the price and i do believe Federal is a good manufacturer to start with.

Luvmygunz, I think Federal boxes that ammo for Lake City. I've been told that anyway's. Lake City is owned by the U.S. Army and is the largest small arms ammunition suppler to the U.S. Military.
