Satellite Coverage, Curiosity?
« on: January 21, 2006, 10:03:40 AM »
I have stated before that coverage of Satellites is an ever changing puzzle.  The government publishs satellite locations by time and day.  This information is now used by license land surveyors.

If you guys would add to this I would appricate.  Do not include your home LAT/LONG for security reasons.  Just your State.

Location:  N. California 01/19/2006, 0001hrs PST.
SAT 01 11 13 16 20 23 24 27  SAT signel 51 and 47 tried but would not lockup.

01/21/2006, 1236hrs. PST
SAT 02 05 06 10 21 30 47 trying but will not lock.  Accuracy 18 feet.

An outdoorsman will be working with the same changes.

I should have noted the listed satellites were received by my Garmin 76C with amplified antenna.  Under roof and trees.  In a few days I will start recording with my Garmin Legend.

0817 EST E-Trex Legend, WAAS disabled.

Receiving 6,11,13,19,27,28 accuracy to 18 feet.

Conditions are poor.  I'm inside, and a front is moving through the area with rain and heavy low clouds.
