ok I'm going to try this post for the 3rd time.
Intially posted on military surplus, no answer. Tried posting twice on reloading would not take.
1st What are some major diff. in the new military cartridge 6.8 spc and the 7.62 x39 other than one is a .270 and one is a .30 cal?
2nd What are the case volume diffs?
3rd Can the 7.62 reach the 6.8 velocities within a couple hundred ft./sec by handloading with 115 gr. bullet?
4th Why oh why did they just not go back to the tried and true .308? I know they just wanted to switch out the uppers on the m16 and the .308 will not fit the pre-existing mag wells, but com'on its the .308? [/img]
