my dad carved these stocks,and they are both on rugers(first pic is a 10/22,the next is a bi-centennial 44mag carbine)

Very nice jobs!

I've always wanted to get into stock carving like that. I used to see adds in the hunting magazines for a course in stock engraving. It showed a wolfs head , and other animals that were raised carvings. Those looked almost 3-D, and it said you could transfer any picture onto the stock, and engrave it like that. I've been dying to learn to do that!
