Hey guys,
 I've been prowling around for a few months so I thought I would throw my hat in the ring.
 My wife got me a new SS Encore .50cal with a black thumbhole stock for Christmas. I stuck a Burris 3x9 Fullfield II on it last week and got her sighted in. Our (Mississippi)end of the year muzzle loader season opened this weekend and I got a nice doe Sun. evening. I think I've fallen in love with this gun! This coming weekend will end my season so I have 2 more days to try to "Encore" a buck.

Im hurt. No Encore for CHRISTMAS and worse the Ohio season is long over.

How many days in total dose Mississippi open for ml?
What impact did the bad weather have on deer and other game?

We get 12/2 - 12/15 then we get 1/19 -1/31. If my math is right thats 28 days. Also this year you can use single shot replica rifles above 38 cal. during prim. weapon season. A lot of guys have sold their MLs and bought 45-70s. I think its a stupid rule but it has gotten more people in the woods this year. We are literally being overrun with deer here so the objective is to get more folks in the woods.
The weather didn't hurt us here but its bad down south. Lots of trees down and cabins torn up etc. It will rebound quickly though.

Mississippi sounds ok by me. Ohio has some great quality but not the numbers. We have very short seasons.
