C&R license ????
« on: March 16, 2003, 12:19:47 PM »
A couple of questions about C&R.

If I have a C&R do I still need to do Brady/NICS when I buy a non C&R gun in my own State? I live in Nevada and if I have a CCW permit I am exempt from Brady/NICS. Does that also apply to a C&R license?

If I buy a non C&R gun do I need to record it in my bound book?

I searched the ATF site and can't find the answer.

Sorry nothing but C&R's in the C&R bound book it will only confuse more when inspected.
I had a CCW license before my C&R, I purchased modern guns(rifle & handguns) and took home the same day. But the C&R is good for mailorder C&R's and out of state gun shows buying C&R's only. Between the C&R and my CCW it really says I'm a "good gun guy".  I even ran into ammo sales out of state i had to show my C&R its getting tighter every trip out. At the last gun show in Mass. most of the dealers had signs up that stated all sales to C&R FFL and FFL dealers only. With times like we have today its ok with me. I will agree with anything that makes our country safer. Tighten up our borders not our citizens!!!!      BigBill

Most guys are afraid of C&R's its for collecting only not buying and selling this is why most get into hot water with our ATF boys.  I guess the C&R's are being sold with no background checks not a good thing. A man must know his limitations for sure.
