FOLKS,
I just got off the phone with Randy the owner of TAR HUNT bolt action slug guns. They run about $ 2000.00 -or better depending on scopes etc. Naturally I can't afford one or ever will be able to ,but I asked him if he thought any of the other bolt action slugguns were able to be tuned to increase accuracy ( MARLIN -MOSSBERG-SAVAGE ) He gave his opinion & then told me he keeps H & R guns -tuned a little -on hand for caomparison !!!!!!
His opinion is that they are VERY accurate when set up properly with good optics ( the optics he mentioned were almost 3x the cost of the gun )& said if you are not happy with the trigger H & R will work on it AFTER you buy it , NOT before .
I was really supprised -are you guys getting good groups at 100 yards with your 12 gauge shotguns , & how far past 100 are they still accurate ?
