Who Has the best price on Freedom Arms revolvers?
« on: January 24, 2006, 04:42:20 PM »
I am looking to get a M83 in .454 or 500 Wyo. I have seen prices from $1625 to over $2000. Anyone know whats the dealer price on one of these? Where to get one at a reasonable price?

Thanks! Chris

Since it has to be delievered to a local FFL dealer for transfer to you anyway what you need to do is find out which local dealer is willing to special order it for you at the smallest profit. The guy I deal with will do so for a $100-150 profit margin which is about as cheap as anyone is likely to do. No one is going to tell you the dealer price to be honest unless it's the dealer you buy it from. I saw the invoice from this one on each of several he bought and know he let at least three go for $100 over cost.

Even if you find an internet source that sold to you at near cost you'd still have to deal with a local guy who's likely to have a charge to you for accepting if you don't order from him.

Bill is absolutely correct.  If you have a local dealer you do business with frequently you should talk to them.  I know at least my dealer offers me a great deal as one, I do a fair amount of business with him and two, the folks at FA are so easy to deal with for the dealer ordering the gun.  Less hastle means less time and effort and so the dealer can be more flexible with his price.  The dealer does deserve to make a fair profit for his time effort and the paperwork he has to handle for you.  Support your local dealer or someday he will not be there for you to support.

Everyone who is really interested in guns and who buys very many of them should look around locally for a good dealer to do business with. Buy your guns there and in time the two of you will develop a rapport and you'll be amazed at how well you can get treated if you're treating him the same.

For my guy he doesn't charge me a red cent to accept guns for me I get from out of state via the internet or how ever. He charges me on the actual shipping cost to ship for me if I sell one or trade it off. When manufacturers load me one to review he charges nothing to accept and only actually shipping to return it.

All the guns I buy and trade in this area go thru him all the time every time no exceptions. I've done a LOT of business with him. All I have to do is tell him what I want and he'll get it for me with no cash down. If I drop in and see one I want but am not prepared to get it then I just ask him to hold it until my return and he does. I never pay the price listed on a gun in his store, he always cuts it for me.

If you don't have such an arrangement you need to be finding someone who will work with you on guns.

Bill is right.

He was the one who told me to deal with when I was ready for my first one. The last three that I've got have been from the store Bill is speaking of. The guy is really good on his prices. I traveled over 100 miles to buy those guns at the place Where Bill is speaking of. The gun shop near my house was over $200.00 more for the same gun.
If you can find someone like that is a blessing.
Good Luck.
