22lr barrel accurate?

how well does the 22lr barrel shoot at about 50 or 100 yards?  im looking into geting one if and when rossi ever gets there barrel program worked out.

by the way is there any news on the barrel program?

All accounts that I have read or friends have told me about-with the exception of 1- have been good for the little 22's. This might help ya out a little.
