Turkey Loads

I've decided to use a ML shotgun while chasing turkeys this season. Was wondering if anyone has experimented with loads for turkeys. I'm using a 3 1/2" wad, about 2 ounces of nickel plated #4's and 100 grains of Pyrodex. I was thinking about adding some buffer during the loading process like is used in the premium turkey shells, but I'm not too sure how to add it to the shot or if it will make much of a difference in the pattern. The pattern is good out to 30 yards now. Gun is a Knight TK2000.

That's definately a stomper load.  If your getting good patterns at 30 yards I wouldn't worry about the buffer.  I have used 1 1/2oz of shot and 80 grs of FFFg Goex in a traditional shotgun and it killed things just fine.

I'll be patterning the turkey loads with and without buffer today, so we'll find out if it's worth using or not.
