Just got home with my used (New to me) Pardner Waterfowl 10 Gauge, Full Choke 32 in barrel, my question is: Is it safe to shoot steel shot out of a full choke. Everything I've seen says not to shoot steel out of a full choke. But I figured for the price it was a no brainer. only paid $70.00 for it.
I can alway use it as a long range squirrel gun...LOL

Congrats on the new gun Dave. I thought all of the 32" barrels were mod choke? I know they made a 32" Model176 with a 32" full choke. But I thought the Pardner waterfowl was mod. You could always shoot bismuth through it for geese.

Hey markus I just double check it and it says full choke.....wierd. Gues I got a one of akind then.
But now its my second newest gun. I pick up a very nice used mossberg pump .410 today nice little squirrel gun.

According to the 2006 catalog, the Waterfowl is available in 28" 10ga full choke and 32" 10ga modified. Apparently they choked one of the 32" barrels full or marked it wrong..........or it's only 28" long. :wink:

They don't mention steel shot, a call or email to NEF would answer your question....
