Taurus 17HMR with 12 inch Bbl. What do ya think?

I'd like to get a 17HMR Silhouette with 12" bbl as soon as they get them in the stores out here in CA. Haven't seen them, maybe they haven't passed the "drop" test where the beaurocrats can get a free gun  :eek:

I really (more than just silhouette shooting) would like it for something in my truck when I'm feedin' cows to shoot them damn squirrels out to about 75-100 yards. Figured I'd put like a 4X scope on it and go to town.

What do ya think?  8)

Well, they're not useful at all for silhouette but should be great fun shooting squirrels. Wear your ear protection, that HMR is really loud in a rifle and ought to ring your bell in a handgun!
