Recently acquired an Encore with the synthetic stock in .308 and a Leupold 3-9x40 scope. Thinking of going with the Leupoold dual dovetail mounting system. Just wondering if there's any reason not to go with the low rings. Holding the gun in a natural position, it feels like my sight line is higher than normal. Am I cracked, or has anyone else needed to go with medium rings for proper head alignment?
