does someone know the temp. to melt lead? i am try to make round ball for a 44cal

700-800 F is what it takes on my Lee melting pot.

Pure lead will begin to slump a little over 450 degrees. It's melting temp is a little above that but you will need to be over 650 degrees to cast. Preferably as stated above.

I made a mis-statement on my last post.
I did a little research and found that the melting point of pure lead is 621.5 degrees F.
But the gentleman making the statement above still stands as correct info for you to do your casting.
