Why Rugers get kocked because they are less expensive than all other guns in their class, I'll never understand. With Ruger, you get consistant quality, AND a recognized name brand, not to mention a life time warranty. People buy Glocks, Smiths, Kimbers, etc. because of the name. Snob appeal, in my opinion. Sure, they all make quality guns and pretty one's, too. But all of the aforementioned guns have their share of problems, from manufacturing flaws, to ftf & fte issues, and can be finnicky eaters to boot. I have never had ONE problem with any Ruger I own. Pretty means nothing to me. Performance, durability and reliability are what count in my book. The ONLY problem that I have ever had with my Rugers is running out of ammo and still having the urge to keep on shooting. I just purchased my first .45 a Ruger P97. It is now my favorite handgun. Just don't let my GP100s and my Redhawk here me say that! Next on my list is a Vaquero in .45. Can't wait, but here in California, it's one handgun every 30 days, so I guess I'll have to wait. Peace and God bless, Wolfsong.
