Romanian 69 Bolt Assembly
« on: March 17, 2003, 02:07:53 PM »
For those who have Romainian 69's like I do I found a site last nite called Surplusrifle.com  http://www.surplusrifle.com   that has info on the 69 rifle. It has a disassembly site for the 69 bolt, taking it apart and putting it back together  and pictures to show the procedure. Good place to check out for that info. If you need to take apart your bolt to fix a part or cleaning if needed this site will give you the instructions to do it safely and the right way. I made a printer copy so I have it for my records plus on my hard drive. Jim
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

about a year ago a buddy picked up 3 romanians mail order for around $40, I didn't jump on 1 then but I sure would like to now if you can point me in the right direction i'd appreciate it. By the way the buddy won't sell 1 for nothing. I did find 1 in a pawn shop for $100, kinda high. Thanx Dan

SOG (Southern Ohio Gun)  has them for 49.95 this month plus you would have to pay shipping and have a dealer get one for you. Your buddy must have a license I would guess because they are not curio and relic guns. I wonder where he got them for 40 bucks I am guessing as you did not make it clear that they were 40 bucks a pop not for all three either way he stole them for that price and depending if he got them all for 40 or 40 apiece just decides the degree of larceny :) the cheapest I have seen these are sog's price this month for 50 bucks usually they sold for 69 bucks some times 59 bucks I paid 69 for mine. Dealers usually charge a handling fee for the use of their license and what ever shipping cost. If your buddy has a dealers license you can probably get by for 10 bucks shipping otherwise most dealers charge anywhere from 10 to 20 % or a flat 20 bucks for a handling fee so that would be 30 S&H giving you a total of 80 some bucks at the cheapest ordering it I would dicker with the pawn shop to see if you can get it for 80 bucks and tell them you will buy it from them if they will match the price that you can order it for.  Some guys said that Gander Mountain stores have them or can get them from otherGM stores  I have also heard of Big 5 and Dunhams having them plus some times at gun shows. I paid 69 for mine at a gun show and since they can be bought at SOG this month for 50 bucks I would not pay anymore than 80 bucks at a show or store as long as SOG is still selling them cheap.
