constructive criticism
« on: January 30, 2006, 09:01:03 AM »
there is no reason that NEF can't build rifles that all shoot the same,or darned close to it.Many of you say you are happy with a 1" or a 1 1/2" group at 100 yards.well,I AM TOO!!and it seems that many handi's will do this out-of-the-box.soooo,how hard would it be to make them ALL do it out-of-the-box?
I propose that with just a little more quality control (and yes, probably a little more money) the handi's could be a LOT better.
I think that lock-up is the key to this accuracy, without it being CONSISTENT,there will be NO accuracy,BUT,if NEF would just pay special attention to this ONE thing, there would be many more "shooters"
If it is too much to ask for them to do this with the handi's,then perhaps they could introduce a different line....kind of a "super ultra",something that they could charge up to around $300 to $350 for and you could still get additional barrels.........BUT,here is another concern, they have GOT to start paying attention to barrel fitment....that is the worst complaint here as of late is a sloppy barrel fit and thus, poor accuracy.

a car that won't take you from place to place isn't a bargain at any price, and neither is a gun that won't SHOOT!!

side note: I bought my handi, not because it was cheap, but because it was light and felt good in my hands.I also enjoy the challenge of a single shot.BUT,when I bought it,I wasn't looking for a "project" or something to "tinker" with or a "truck gun",I was looking for a hunting rifle, and as such,it needs ACCURACY,not PINPOINT accuracy, but a reasonable degree of it..I've shot upward of $150 dollars worth of ammo down range, and been so mad at my handi that i though SERIOUSLY about throwing it into my lake,so I would have MUCH rather paid the $150 dollars up front for more quality, and preserved some of my sanity

to all you die hard handi fans:I'm truly glad you love your rifles and that they shoot well for ya'll,but if NEF doesn't get off their butts and pick up the Q/C,I'm afraid they may go bankrupt....again :(
Good shot placement + well constructed bullet = DEAD
