Murray's carries it www.murrayslures.com/lure.html I've never heard of it before. Has anyone used it and what do you use it for? Thanks!

Synthetic Fermented Egg(SFE) was made by several lure makers about 25 to 30 years ago.It was a canine lure.
It must not have lived up to expectations, you don't see much of it any more.My guess is there are a lot better and effective lures on the market.

Like Bogmaster says, SFE was the rave back 25 years ago.  I experimented with SFE based formulas and modified some existing formulas by adding varying amounts to and sent the SFE formulas to some of America's best trappers of the time for testing and opinions. None were impressed and all preferred my lure formulas just the way they were already. SFE definitely would make a great skunk lure as the number of skunks caught at the SFE test sets was more than double the usual number. Ace

Like Asa said SFE  is old stuff and didnt produce much canines.  I did tests with differant lures; Lenons' was one with the SFE and  Lenons' lures did  outcatch SFE 10 to one... also agree that it is a GREAT skunk lure.
