Well, Due to this Winchester thing going on right now, I decided to go ahead and buy a Winchester Model 70 Safari Custom Shop BIG 5 #2. This is in 458 Win. Mag and I think was made in 2000-2001 maybe, it has the elephant and Africa engraved in gold on the floor plate. It is NIB never fired and I can't find a value anywhere, I've tried all the recent Gun Traders. I have seen the complete set of the BIG 5 selling for 20,000-45000.00(on gunbroker right now). Any answers much appreciated.

I did find out it was made some time around 1999-2001, Winchester can't even tell me. It is #35 of 100 made, and the serial #G35BF2. I just can't find out what it's worth? :?

I would assume around 2g's for the lott.. Just an opinion, not a fact...
As for the big 5 collection IMO what they are asking is insane.. Last summer I saw a new set for 10k at a local store.. They ended up selling it for 9,500 when it was all said and done in oct of 05.. I couls maybe see 15k max... That would be plenty but just MO.

I am so sorry for my bad memory it was 19,500 it went for.. Not sure what I was thinking!
