M70 Laredo stock vs. HS Precision Sporter stock?
« on: February 02, 2006, 06:08:30 PM »
Anyone know the difference between the stock used on the discontinued Winchester M70 Laredo and the current $300 stock that HS Precision sells?  The Laredo was apparently a Sendero type rifle by Winchester.  Need to know if the Laredo stock has bedding block.

Other than the width of the forend on the Laredo I don't think there is any difference. I have one of the discontinued M70 Heavy Varmints in 220 swift and it does have the aluminum bedding block.

Like the factory stock on the Mod.70 Stealth, I believe it actually is an H-S Precision stock. :D

Will take a gamble on it then.  It is $100 cheaper than the ProSeries HS Precision stock.  Thanks
