I've used a marlin 917v action, with the heavy barrel and everything....used a rifle basix sear kit to drop the trigger pull, and put on some optics, and whoo nelly, is this thing accurate! The stock is an old Marlin 2000A Summer Biathlon rifle stock, I had to inlet it a bit to get the action in, and open up the magazine well a bit to allow the magazine to feed through properly, but now that it's all inletted and bedded....oh, man, this thing is super accurate, probably more accurate than I'll ever be. Best 150 dollar rifle I ever bought.
