I'm not an expert, but it is hard to give a set pull weight of the trigger. I shot 3 seperate 617-3's and ech had a different wieght trigger. Not by much, but it was noticeable. As for what a gunsmith will drop it down to, thats up to you. You can buy spring kits from midway or brownells that come with a reduced power main spring and a 13#, 14#, and 15# trigger rebound spring. Plus a smith will probably have lighter springs or could make a lighter mainspring still. Also the polishing a smith can do on the sear. If you want a 5 oz. trigger you can get one, just depends how much you want to pay.
