H&R/NEF centerfire calibers
« on: February 05, 2006, 08:56:37 AM »
I have these H&R/NEF centerfire calibers. Are there or have there been any others? 204, 22 Hornet, 22-250, 223, 243, 25-06, 7MM-08, 270, 280, 7X57, 7X64, 30-30, 308, 30-06, 7.62X39, 35 Whelen, 357 Mag, 357 Max, 44 Mag, 444, 45-70, 450, 500. I know that there are several rechambers and rebores out there but I am only interested in what H&R/NEF has produced.
I donot have the 45/410 or the 38-55.(yet)

 Impressive list Ken, I knew you had a few, but not that many and hard to find ones as well.  :toast: If you ever decide to sell or trade a couple...well.... 8)

The .22 Jet was made by H&R at one time, and maybe the .221 fireball which showed up on an auction a year or so ago, but no one could say for sure if it was a rechamber or not.

That is not EXACTLY what my wife would call it. However, she is very understanding and she also hunts with the Handis. I have a 7.62X39 set up with a survivor stock set, just her size and weight....

Kenbev, I am trying to get my wife into shooting and that sounds like a good set up for her as well. Plus a cheap plinker for me!!! I have not had her try out anything else I have because the recoil might sour her on it(big Bores).

My wife is very recoil shy. Someone had her shoot a 12 gauge single shot when she was a kid and she is terrified of anything with any recoil. I have been thirty years trying to get her over this. But, let me tell you she can out shoot alot of men!!!!!! The 7.62X39 works well at medium ranges and very little recoil....
