Would it be possible to use a Blackhawk 45 ACP cylinder in a 45 Long Colt Ruger Bisley?

Where would a fella buy a couple of .45ACP cylinders for .45LC Bisley revolvers? Is it possible to ream .357 Bisley chambers to .45ACP?

The Bisley and BH both use the same cylinder frame. Only issue you may have is the timing. need to be very sure the timing for the new cylinder is correct and all is in proper alignment.
There actually was a small run of .45Colt/.45ACP stainless Bisleys made early last year. The latest in the Acusport series. Another run of these is set for this year as well.

I like stainless Ruger Blackhawks in .45 Colt. I have about 4. Ruger will fix .45 ACP cylinders to them. They are great fun to shoot that way. They will not fit a .45 ACP cylinder to my stainless Bisley, even though they made that run for Acusport. If you want one, you will have to find it somewhere else.

My little baby alloy bisley started as a Superblackhawk .44 mag. Sent my buddy the frame and cylinder, and found another stainless cylinder in .357 to send him. Had him line bore one cylinder to a tight chambered 45 Colt(like 454 dimensions) chamber, and the other line bored to a 45 ACP, and had him recess the same cylinder so it would chamber the bunch of 45 Auto Rim brass I already had.

I have several .45 Colt Blackhawks with .45 ACP cylinders. I have recently had the cylinders trimmed to allow the use of .45 AR brass as well as ACP. The AR brass produces much more consistent ignition because it headspaces on the rim. .45 ACP brass varies all over the map in overall length and the Ruger headspaces on the case mouth. .45 AR brass makes for more accurate mild loads. It eliminates the excessive airspace of the .45 Colt case when loading small quantities of smokeless powder. For higher power loads, the .45 Colt case is the obvious choice. For shooting cheap factory ammo, the .45 ACP is the obvious choice.
