Stones way past their prime

Now after Jaggers political crappy song this year I am not really a Stones fan anymore but I have to say after watching the Superbowl Half Time Show their perfomance proved they are way past their prime. Jaggers vocals were mediocre at best and the guitar playing was nothing special either. At one time they were on top and the bad boys of rock. Today it looked like they should be under one.

Yep. Here is what I will never understand - Why does the greatest sporting event in the world, get  so bad at halftime? Every year it is the same garbage that most dont watch.

I did not watch the halftime show just as I havent in many years. Switch over to the lifetime channel, it is far better than the halftime show :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

What I thought was pathetic was how they had to change their lyrics or just left them out. At least it wasn't a bunch of rap. I liked the Stones doing the half time show; better than alot of the other crap they've had in years past.

 Possible answer?  The local paper said ABC used a 5-second delay to make (2) edits to Mick Jaggers lyrics.

My somewhat removed younger wife, was laughing at loose skin....
Explained to our 9 year old, this is what happens when you do a lot of drugs, when she asked about their appearance. I got no room to talk, being the same age... McCartney, Jagger... Lets hope for Chubby Checker next year!!

I think at times they would be better off with a good snappy college marching band. Be a lot cheaper too. :D

The halftime show was just painful, someone needs to step up and tell them STOP it's over. I mean they have plenty of money, all they are doing is embarrassing themselves.
And how about the National Anthem.... :(

I agree with Nightrain, I could go for a gollege marching band...

A Grade school marching band would have sounded better than what the Stones did along with Aretha and Nevile  :eek:
