Cast Gaschecked bullets in a Magnaported Model 83

Does anyone have any experience with cast gaschecked bullets in a Model 83 that has been magnaported?

No.  However, I do have a ported modle 97 454 Casull and my gas checked bullets work just fine.
When seconds mean life or death, the police are only minutes away!

I'm curious, what effect are you concerned about? I own a F.A. 83 .454 and also a Taurus RB. The Taurus is ported, and I shoot cast gas checked boolits in both guns with excellent results.

The only down side is cleaning lube out of those ports!

Not any real concerns.  Not any evidence of leading in the barrel, but I am noticing some lead wash on the front sight.  The bullet I'm using is an RCBS 300 grain gas check, sized .452 which I cast.  The bullet has a hardness of about 18.  I don't seem to be getting the accuracy that I expected from the Model 83, but it's probably me and not the revolver.
