Does anyone hunt quail with the pardner or topper? If so what gauge do you guys use?

hello, and welcome!!! i don't quail hunt, but i duck hunter w/ a pardner 12 ga 28" mod choke and dove w/ a .410 bore 26" full choke. a single shot when bird hunting is not a handicap unless you missLOL. for quail, any gauge/ bore will work quite well from the .410 up to the 12 ga. i prefer the .410, 20 ga and 28 ga because of lesser recoil and noise. i really enjoy hunting birds w/ my NEF/H&Rs. i love 'em!!

Dove with a full choke Four-ten!!! :eek: : Dang Buckslayer, you da man! I have enough trouble connecting with those little rockets using a 12 ga. with modified choke. :lol:

i have only been 3 times dove hunting. both times i had the choice of 410 or the 12 pardners. the 410 kicks less, and it will kill birds. ya' just gotta hit em'.
