Blued barrels on stainless steel frames
« on: February 07, 2006, 04:43:31 PM »
Does anyone have any pics of blued barrel on stainless steel frame. Was thinking of doing this but wanted to know if it would look mismatched, also what is up with the 45/70 15 inch stainless steel barrel. It is becoming hard to find

Stainless Steel Frame and Blued Barrel

Here you go; the handgun version of the Contender in 357 Herrett.  I don't think it looks too bad.  I like stainless steel but didn't want to pass up an eBay deal.

I have 2 stainless frames with stainless barrels on them, I have 3 blued frames with 2 of them having blued barrels and one with a stainless barrel.  I am going to get another stainless frame, I don't like the look of a mismatch.

Here's a pic of my stainless Enore frame with a blue SSK 444Marlin barrel on it......my 260Rem barrel is also blue. I guess I kinda like the two-tone look.

I personally like the 2-toned look.  I have a Contender with a blued action and use stainless barrels.  Kind-of the opposite of what you are talking about, but none-the-less it is a pretty gun.  I do like the look of a stainless action with blued barrel better.  They pictures really look good, expecially with a black forearm and grip.
How'd you like a peek at my 14-incher? (Contender, that is)
