borax?
« on: February 08, 2006, 05:33:33 AM »
I read a lot about borax---are they talking 20 mule team borax???  The common uses I have read about are for rubing around ear cartiledge and taking the grease out of the edge of a 'cat pelt.
I think ill try some...but is the stuff i get at the grocery or do I have to order it?

i don't trap, but i've used borax on turkey fans... you can buy it in a big box at wal-mart... it dries out the fat/meat and keeps it from smelling or letting the bugs from getting in it...

Yes Tim, they are referring to the 20 Mule Team product. It serves as a fair preservative. Ace

I use Borax on 99% of all my cats...also works good in the hard to dry area's like the "pits" and a good dribble down the inside of the tail NEVER hurts..
