Cutomizing a Ruger SBH Hunter 45 Colt
« on: February 08, 2006, 11:51:14 AM »
I'm thinking about getting an action job, opening the cylinder throats and getting the barrel Taylor throated.

I am seriously considering having the barrel shortened to 5.5" or 6".  I'd like to still have the option of putting a scope on it if I want.

My intention is to make it more packable, but am I defeating my purpose by choosing the Hunter model due to the heavier ribbed barrel?

Thanks
First figure out what it is and what it ain't and thats generally a good place to start.
