Tim,since this is a H and R;/NEF forum I guess you would have to bring at least 1 of these, and anything else you have. Its free I guess,it was last year. So get your name in the pot ,and show up. (p.s. bring plenty of ammo).   Digger

Last Year was a Friday to Monday.

Don't know if Wes will have the time to be able to cover 4 days this time.
Only a few guys left on Monday last year, but it was a great day of shooting.  I used up 1000-1100 rounds total during the 4 days.

Friday 2 June to Monday 5 June

or

Friday 9 June to Monday 12 June

or

whatever Wes will be able to do.

I am sure we don't want Wes to feel pressured about this because Wes and friends hosted this out of the GOODNESS of their hearts last year.
If his job does not allow him this year or this time, than maybe any other time convenient for him.

Thanks for the info. I have had a h&r shotgun for many years and have just recently purchased the new Ultra varmit fluted in a 223. It looks pretty good, I just hope it shoots well.

I will continue to watch for updates on the hunt.

Alright you boy's,listen up,Wes may not make it in June but Dano is going to try to line up some PD towns for us.Dan said he could handle a few campers for those of you that bring one,and he volunteered Taylor (his son) to help out with the location's for us to shoot in. Lik2hunt and I will do our best to help out also.
When I hear back from Dan on somemore details,I'll let you know. If Dano can ever remember his password,he'll get back on here hisself. Digger

rockrat makes #19 of the 25 slots Wes said the shoot would be limited to. I have another thread with the names listed that is locked so no one can post to it. That's to make it easier on Wes for him to find the names since he's not here often the way he's working now.

Several of you have commented on wanting to go but need firm dates and such. Your names have not been added, only those who have made a firm commitment have. There are only six more openings left according to what Wes has said in setting the max at 25.

I'm not at all sure when a firm date might be set. The way Wes is working I think it's highly likely he will not be able to attend and help but likely will be able to do some preliminary work prior to the event.

Buckeyeppc you had already stated you were in. You are #16 on the list.

At this time there are 24 folks who have stated positively they are in. Wes said he would only take 25 max so the next one to jump in is that theoritical last one. But I'm sure some who have said they are firm will fall out between now and Hooker on June 9. Lots of us are old farts and have health issues to contend with.

But if you really wanna be there you best be getting your name in the hat real soon or you'll be like those last year who "wished" they had chimed in early enough before the cut off.

Don't worry about the H&R/NEF rifles.  I am bringing 5 H&R/NEF rifles, 17HMR, 17M2, 204 Ruger, 223 Remington, 22-250 Remington.  If anyone needs one, you may borrow one or two.  Will take all of us to HOLD BACK all those PDogs.

Let me know the dates ASAP.  Planning on going and bring the wife and youngsters (they won't be hunting, Mrs. wants to see the sites) and then travelling on out west a bit further to were she spent a few years while her dad was in the Air Force.

As Keven said I got me a .204 and a .17 HMR ready to go.  Hoping to add one more gun to the collection prior to the trip is possible.....

Graybeard,

I know.  Just the excitement of it all and wanted to re-confirm.  I won't be bringing my camper.  Took it to AZ last week for some rock/antelope squirrel whacking and left it there with my friend.  Hope to move out to AZ again later this year after the OK pdog shoot and in time for AZ pdogs and tree squirrels.  And yes, AZ does have a small pdog population.

Randy, the dates have already been posted above in this thread by Ditchdigger.

I'd sure feel better about this whole thing if Wes and Dan the guys holding it were doing a bit of posting. Last year long before this time all the details were firmed and every thing was lined up. This time things seem real shaky.

i'll likely be going home from La on our about the 17th of April.  I'll get with all of the landowners then and set it up.

Don't worry about Dan not posting much....he's just shy.
