awesome. i have had my eye on one of those too. Very nice.

How much did you pay? I read guns and ammo and their review said something like $842. I know that's a misprint, but how far off were they?

Retail is $264, unless they've gone up a lot since this afternoon!  I paid $199 and tax.  I just love the way it feels and handles.  In an earlier test they measured the velocity at 1996fps, good enough for me.  Hey, did you check out the Hornady site for the Mach 2?  You got to see this vid, http://www.hornady.com/story.php?s=145. It pushed me over the edge.

Took my 717M2 out to the range yesterday just to sight-in and a couple of groups/plinking.  It would make 5 shot cloverleafs (it was kinda breezy) at 25 yards.  Some fool shot up two 20lbs LP tanks, then left them on the range!  Before I took them down and disposed of them, I turned the one at 100 yards 90 degrees so that I had a clean target.  Shot it 5 times and all of the hits that were square on - penatrated!  WOW!  Nice little BB sized holes on the front, lead spray inside on the back half.  Anybody that has any doubts about remaining power at 100 yards can rest assured.  This round has what it takes.  Pests around the farm are in DEEP do-do now.
