Marlin ever made 22 bolt, syn stock,16-18" barrel, no si
« on: February 10, 2006, 03:50:51 PM »
I have right now a 882ssv that I would give my right arm before getting rid of and I would like to get another in 22LR with a short barrel.

Has Marlin made anything like I am wanting in the last few years or do I have to keep waiting or modify something into what I want.

I would like:
22 LR caliber
bolt action-mag fed-syn stock with double stock bolts like my SSV
16-18" clean barrel-heavy would be nice

No bolt that I know of ,but they make Two semi-autos the 795 standard barrell an the 7000 which is the bull barrel. Both are clip feed and have 181/2 barrels. I have the 795 and can vouch for it. You can do a serch here or on rimfirecentral.com. Both are thought very highly- hope this helps.

Does the 795 or the 7000 use one or two bolts to hold the receiver to the stock?  What about accuracy?

Yes, for two bolts that hold the reciever and stock together. As far for accuracy,my 795 will hold 1/4 to 1/2 groups. Do a search on the 7000 and you will see1/4 groups. The above groups are from bench and after trying 15 differant types of ammo for the gun. You will be happy with either one. The 795 sell for in my area for110.00 to 121.00 and the 7000 from 179.00 to 189.00.
