A couple of months ago I accidentally double charged a round when reloading. No damage to gun or guy but it was quite a show. Ever since, I flinch and close my eyes when I pull the trigger on any of my handguns. I dropped back to some of my 22's and seem to do ok, but when I get out anything bigger, here we go again. I even complained today to my local gun dealer about a snub nose 38 I purchased a while back, "can't hit the side of a barn standing inside of the barn with this thing". He and I went out to the range. He shot 2" groups at 15 yards, I was lucky to get it on paper. He's the one who noticed my flinch. Is there any suggestions or exercises I can work on to get over this?
