What if ... (a .40S&W vs .357Sig question) ?
« on: February 12, 2006, 04:34:03 PM »
If you were being confronted with a threat to your life and on the table in front of you was a field stripped firearm with a .40S&W barrel and a matching .357Sig barrel and an equal amount of ammo for both calibers, which barrel would you use to assemble the gun and deal with the threat -- the .357Sig barrel or the .40S&W barrel?

From what I know, if you're talking about a personal protection situation, I'm reasonably sure I'd take the 40S&W myself.

With that said though, it'd definately boil down to which set up was the most dependable, and accurate.

I'm quite sure that a man that was out to do you harm wouldn't be able to tell the difference if your shots were well aimed.

I like the .357SIG for shooting though I suspect this is very subjective.

I'd take the .357 sig, simply because they always seem to shoot better for me, but frankly, I would not feel undergunned with either, since I usually carry a 9mm.

I have a Glock 22 with the original .40 barrel and a Jarvis .357 Sig. The Jarvis is what I use most of the time because it just is plain more accurate. A whole lot more accurate!

:D  THe .40 every time........speed of the 9mm, knock down power of the .45.  But in a pinch, the .357 would work...........
