You guys are on your best behavior!!!
« on: February 12, 2006, 05:45:59 PM »
A little later tonight I will disconnect this computer and move it upstairs to be packed in my sea freight for shipment to South Africa.  In the interim I iwll be working off the laptop.  I will have internet until Friday, but don't know how much time I will have  to get on line.

We fly out  March 6th and get to our new home March 8th.  I don't  know how long it will be before I get on line over there.

So in the mean time you guys be gentle with CW, he's a sensitive little fellow....

See you all when I get there.

Douglas, you will be greatly missed.  Once you get to your destination, get unpacked and rested up a bit, please be sure to get back on line at your very earliest convenience cause ole CW will probably have his hands full by then.
Have a good trip and we'll be communicating once again hopefully soon.
Appears you will NOT be attending the Casper Wyoming shoot this coming June unless you can find some really really inexpensive air fares. :)
Best regards from a fellow BP burner, Blaster :D

Have a safe trip.  Hope you can keep us updated on your adventures.  Maybe you will run across some colonial cannons.

DD,

When you get a chance head down to Cape Town.  They fire a canon from Signal Hill Everyday at noon. I've heard it but not seen it  :?

There's an old fort downtown.  Sorry I don't rememebr if there were canons there. I've been twice on business -  the first time I didn't really know what to look for. The second was too close to Christmas and I just didn't have time scout around much.

There are some canons down around Hoek Bay.  I have pictures of those someplace I'll post them when i can find them.

Doug,  Our best behaver is when were burning BP and making loud reports.  When you get back to the states we will all have to load the guns and fire  one big solute from cost to cost.

Good luck in South Africa.

When you get set up over there check out my new web site, it should be up and running by then. gonna be a nice site.

be safe and keep in touch.

I have to agree with Santa Dave.  IÂ’m ready to go again even thought the last trip South African Airline was on strike and it took me 4 days to get there

It had always been my dream to go to Africa.  I was lucky enough to get a job with a global company and have been three times.  ..

HereÂ’s the picÂ’s of the canons at Hoek Bay.  Sorry we were overwhelmed by the scenery and didnÂ’t spend enough time looking at the guns.  They were in decrepit condition, rusty and full of trash.

IÂ’m the hairy guy on the left. :)
