If I remember right the G2 black powder barrel won't fit older style frames.  I don't have one though and was wating for someone with real experience to reply.  I hope someone does.

From what I've read, it seems that the forend is in question on the older frames and I figured that after several years, that hopefully someone would be making a compatible forend.

No, the old frames will NOT accept the muzzleloading barrels.  Only the G2 accepts the muzzleloading barrels.

Factory blackpowder barrels are for use on G-2 frames only.

If you go to the TC webpage and look at the caliber chart for the G2 it says that the muzzleloader barrel is not compatable with older frames.  I think that is more of a problem than forearm wood not fitting.  I assume that they added something that prevents mounting this barrel for safety reasons.  I guess you can be the judge, but I won't go against a manufacturers warning not to try.

Good luck[/quote]

from what (i have been told!) the pin in a g2 barrel can be removed to make it fit in an old frame. it,s a patent thing, not a safety one. from what i hear, it has something to do with gonic,s patent.
by the way, midway has both 209x45, and 209x 50 cal ml barrels.
 good luck!
