Our National Forest for sale?
« on: February 19, 2006, 04:19:16 PM »
It was in a local paper that the forest service is considering putting up for sale some of the National Forest. This not a land swap as they do sometime, this is an outright sale of land. Someone told me it had something to do with the proposed new national budget. This is great news for some rich developer, buy the land and stick 500 or so new condos on it with a gate across the road and no hunting or trespassing signs hung on every tree. This is going to be a nation wide thing I was told. We need go get this stopped before we have no where to hunt, fish, or just go for a walk if we desire.

I agree with you.  I am a very disappointed Republican.   I have e-mail my congressman.  I know the hunters in the local coffee shop are not happy with this developement.  John Pombo(R) has been pushing the same package and then repackaged it.  Recently he got so much heat the orginal package was changed with different sponsors.  Bascially do you like your posion in Red Wine or White Wine.  Pombo's family is big in real estate.  They just sold land for an off ramp to the state.

These congressmen are playing gun owners like a violin.  You can keep your guns, but we are going to sell your hunting and fishing grounds.  My trust level is very low.  Theys guys have hand off our jobs, our ports, and our economy to outside interest.  It all has to do with money.
