Statelinerut: Hi, I'm from Carthridge, about 70 miles east of Nashville. Last year while visiting my folks I was at my uncles house. My uncle has always been a fox hunter. They would go out every weekend and chase foxes with their hounds. Never catches them, just chases them. Well in the last 10 years cayotes have moved in and killed or run off all the foxes. He hates cayotes. I introduced him to a new sport, shooting them from his back porch. Cayotes are seen regulerly in his fields behind the house. Now he sits in the shade in the evening and uses a range finder to range them when they come out. He then shoots them with a .243. You would think since he shoots them regulerly they would never come back, but he has cattle, sheep, and goats out there, which seems to be an attractor. My Aunt says his laughs every time he shoot one sounds like an old hen cackeling. I think it's good theropy for an older gentleman in his mid 70s.
