Start training your shooters young....it can pay off in the final analysis.
I found a payoff in doing it !
The Mrs. and I were at Camp Lejeune this past week, visiting with my grandson's wife...now our grandaughter of course .
My grandson is in Iraq..Marine Spec Ops and his unit's designated sniper.
Along with his other duties he was chosen as their designated sniper ...because of his shooting skills...and I like to think I had a part in that since he started with me , shooting at about 4 yrs of age.
He serves in the "Sunni Triangle", interdicting terrorists along the Euphrates.
Talking with a Marine in his reserve party back in Lejeune, I found that his detatchment of about 60 Marines already has 24 Purple Hearts.
This source also told me that my grandson took out a sniper at long range a few days ago. Later, captured insurgents claimed that the particular one they sent out for my grandson was their best shot....guess he wasn't the best shot that day !
Believe me; I am glad I started early with him, his brothers and their little sister...
BTW: The latest edition of body armor is really terrific stuff..
