Tad
Do you mind, how much did you pay for just the receiver?

My FFL was told by DOJ that it could only be purchased as a complete gun, because of the minimum length thing. M&M trading post is closing out their inventory, so i picked up the whole package in 14" blued 44 mag for $365 plus $20 shipping. My FFL charges $30 for the transaction plus the federal fees.

How much does Reeds get? Most dealers wont let you order from dicounts without adding substantial fees, but my guy just does transfers.

Oh yea, M&M is getting $210 for a G2 frame with walnut. Your lucky you could buy just the frame- i dont think that will last the way the law is written though.

You can order the frame only.  Reed's has sold a couple as frame only and they did mine and another guys today as frame only.  There is an option for this on the form; they left the caliber section blank and chose frame only.  There is still soo much b.s. about this law floating around out there; it will probably take awhile after several have been sold for it to finally get sorted out.  Reed's seems to be the most knowledgeable about them since they have been selling them since the 1st of the year.  I don't know if buying them as frames will last; it only has to last 10 more days until I get mine.
