Ummm...
Is this just product hype, or a real advancement? I have to admit that I'm curious. But sniper-scope reticle?
"According to Nikon, Omega is the first riflescope to offer a bullet drop compensating reticle designed specifically for muzzleloading loads and ranges-taking the guesswork out of where to hold on longer shots."
Assuming a 200 yard, six-inch kill zone PBR (whitetail), what would I do with all that? Using modern bullet/powder combos, a 200 yd, 6" PBR is very real. I fail to see the benefit of a compensating reticle. Then again, my eyesight is failing.
The price is competitive with the Bushnell 3200, and Nikon optics are among the best. I'll have to reserve judgement until I can actually look through one -- I'm not sure the reticle will help or if it's just eye candy.
