So I have the Choate Varmint Forend with Bipod "T" rail on my Survivor .308.
I went and got a cheepie Bipod- a Shooters Ridge.
Thing was total garbage. Never was able to get it to lock down tight and it kept loosening.
It seems like someone must make a Bipod that slides directly into the T-Rail on the forend, right? Isn't that what it's designed for? Or do all Bipods require the stud on the rail.
I just want something really solid. Don't much care about weight and don't want a swivel as it is only for bench use- I'm offhand when not on the bench.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Oh and as a note- my Survivor loves the South African .308 milsurp; almost as much as far more expensive ammo (Federal Match). A little sticky on the extract sometimes, but suprisingly consistent ammo for .18 a round, about 1/5th the cost of stuff I use in matches.
