I wanted to know if anyone has had any field experience with the 25 WSSM. I bought one last year before hunting season and I like the cartridge a lot. Low recoil, no muzzle blast, and has performed well on the range and in the field.
I took two shots this year at deer camp. First shot was at 6 point buck. Double lung shot @ 140 yards - Buck jumped forward at the impact of the 120gr bullet, fell to the ground, got up, and ran for about 50 yards. Tiny entrance wound with a quarter sized exit wound. Second shot was at a doe. Neck shot @ 80 yards - Doe dropped in her tracks. Tiny entrance wound with a 5 inch wide exit wound. Spine was completely severed and exploded causing the huge exit wound.
